The ND-GAIN Index, a project of the University of Notre Dame Global Adaptation Index (ND-GAIN), has summarized country’s vulnerability to climate change and other global challenges in combination with its readiness to improve resilience. It aims to help businesses and the public sector better prioritize investments for a more efficient response to the immediate global challenges ahead.
According to the index, Nigeria ranks 167 out of 187 countries, way below Cameroon, Togo, Niger among others.
Nigeria is already feeling the impact of climate change and this report amplifies the need for the country to step up commitments and actions, for a safer country/planet, and quit playing politics with the future of the next generation.
