Zimbabwe’s Starving Wildlife Up For Sale

Zimbabwe is putting up it’s wild animals for sale to save them from a devastating drought caused by the severe El Nino weather phenomenon. Wildlife authorities are inviting the public to pitch in, as the country battles to save the starving animals. It is getting harder to find water and food to sustain the animals, but conservationists say ordinary Zimbabweans cannot afford to buy the animals, fend for them or even have the space to keep them, rather advocating for other African countries with resources to sustain the animals, to pitch in.

They however warned against selling to buyers outside the African continent, as they insist the animals are for Africa, and must be kept for future African generations and the rest of the world, in Africa.

Do you think these animals should be sold to any willing buyer, any where in the world, or should they be kept in Africa?
